The once-only fee of $40 for the lifetime membership of Toastmasters International means that you will be a member of Toastmasters no matter where you go in the world or who you are with. This sets you up as a permanent member of Toastmasters International.
You will receive a New Members Kit, which contains 2 manuals. The first one is a Competent Communication Manual which outlines the 10 projects leading to the Competent Communicator (CC) Award. It is by preparing and presenting these 10 projects that you will practice your communication skills and learn how to write and present a speech.
Each project is designed to develop your speaking skills one step at a time. Each project builds on what you’ve learnt in the previous project.
The second manual is the Competent Leadership manual which outlines the 10 projects leading to the Competent Leader (CL) Award. You will build leadership skills when you complete the 10 projects in this manual. You will receive a certificate from Toastmasters International when you complete your CC and CL awards.
You will also get 3 booklets- covering “How to Give Evaluations”, “Body Language” and “Gestures”. You will also be given Indooroopilly Toastmasters Reference Guide, which outlines each segment and how to prepare and present it at a meeting.
You will be given a name badge to wear to the meetings. This is a really neat way to help you feel part of the club and for others to get to know your name.
The Semi Annual Fee of $60 for 6 months means that you will stay a current member of Indooroopilly Toastmasters for $10 a month. You will receive the monthly magazine ‘’Toastmaster’’, packed full of interesting, relevant and meaningful articles to help you build your confidence, speaking skills and personal development.
Attendance Fees of $5 per night covers the cost of the venue and supper. You have the option of paying your attendance fees up- front at a reduced rate or paying as you attend. Students are offered a Student Discount rate for Attendance Fees.
