Toastmasters: Excellent value for money
There is a once- only fee of $40 for lifetime membership of Toastmasters International, which is valid for every Toastmasters club worldwide.
All members also pay a Semi Annual Fee of $60 for 6 months to stay a current member of Indooroopilly Toastmasters- that’s $10 a month. Finally, there is a venue and catering fee that helps cover our costs of $5 per meeting, or a discounted, upfront payment of $50 twice a year ($25 for students).
$40 (once-off) + $110 (twice yearly) or $85 (students, twice-yearly).
If you move, your membership can be transferred to another club. If you let your membership lapse, you can be re-instated by paying your Semi- Annual Fees.
We figure this is a small price to pay for building self confidence, having a great night of fun and entertainment and being better communicators.
WHAT WILL I GET FOR MY MONEY?
Apart from learning leadership skills, gaining self-confidence and speaking ability, you will receive a monthly magazine and a New Members Kit, which contains the following three educational booklets, two manuals and reference guide:
1. Booklets
Toastmasters is one of the most effective steps to complete self confidence!

- Gestures
- How to Give Evaluations
2. Competent Communication Manual
Learn how to prepare and present 10 speeches that boost communication skills. Each project develops your speaking skills one step at a time and builds on what you’ve learnt in the previous project. Leads to the Competent Communicator (CC) Award.
3. Competent Leadership Manual
Build leadership skills by completing the 10 projects in this manual. Leads to the Competent Leader (CL) Award.
4. Indooroopilly Toastmasters Reference Guide
Describes each segment and tips on how to prepare and present it at a meeting.
